David DASH: In 2014 while owning a Series 1 Y62 Patrol, I searched (actually interviewed) for a mechanic who I could trust to work on my beloved 4WD, knowing that I would need some special attention.

Steve Allan convinced me he had an eye for detail and would spend the time needed to service, maintain, and build a Y62 to my standards.

As DASH OffRoad grew into a one-stop shop for all things Y62, partnering with Steve to establish a dedicated workshop was a natural next step—leading to the creation of 4x4 DNA (DASH & Allan) located in South Australia. From that first workshop, we have now expanded, with stores located in Perth and Melbourne.

We take great pride in having qualified mechanics working on your car, whether it be fitting a HARROP Supercharger, performing a log book service, or conducting a pre/post trip check over, your vehicle will be in expert hands.

Every aspect of the 4X4 DNA / Dash OffRoad / Steve Allan's Mechanical experience has been brilliant - from initial advice through to the purchase, install and pick-up. It's our first workshop experience but I would take any vehicle there again - but if it's a Y62 it's an absolute no-brainer! What I have learnt so far regarding the y62 from these guys in the last couple of months is far more then I have since buying my Patrol back in 2016. Looking forward to Steve and his team working on my car in 2 weeks, and thanks to David for his insight on the suspension and exhaust I’m having done.
